The UKs biggest open water swim at took place at the end of June in the chilly waters of Lake Windermere. Although problems due to the terrible weather forced the cancellation of the first 2 days of racing for safety reasons, the mood on the final day was still certainly better than the weather.
Here’s a handful of the shots of the brave competitors taken from both land and from speedboat.

Recently I was commissioned by bespoke furniture designers RASKL to photograph their latest series of the popular Agranda Bench, both in situ and in the studio.
And yes, that is a real cat.

I always enjoy a trip to London for a job, especially when you know that when you get there you’re going to eat like a king. A recent commission for the Malmasion and Hotel du Vin hotel group was certainly no exception. Shooting at both the luxurious Malmaison hotel in Charterhouse Square and the nearby fantastic ‘Bisto du Vin‘ restaurant was a pleasure, not only to be working with such a great team there but also because we got to eat the amazing food once we had finished photographing it.

Just a couple of weeks back I had the honour of being asked to photograph the world premiere of ‘Sombrisa” being performed by the amazing ‘Danza Contemporánea de Cuba’. For those of you who missed it I hope the photos below give you a good idea of how stunning it was.

For those of you who missed the spectacle of fireworks, witches, victorian pickpockets, light shows, dancers, royal visitors, and free cake last weekend, all I can say is you missed a treat. It was of course all in celebration of the Theatre Royal’s 175th birthday, and what a great party it was for anyone who wanted to come.

Recently I was photographing an event in the Banqueting Hall of the historic Blackfriars restaurant when I was asked to go into the busy kitchen during service and get some shots of the very busy food prep to be used as prints on their walls.
Here’s a taster of what I managed to get without being shouted at by the obligatory angry chefs.
Back in early January I was in my home city of Manchester for a few days working at the both the VIP and the public launch unveiling of Sony’s amazing new handheld console, the PS Vita. With more famous faces from the worlds of music, tv and sport than a copy of Hello magazine it was definitely a success!
