With everyone talking about getting away on holiday soon now that the weather has warmed up I was reminded of a job I did last summer in Berlin for Generator Hostels when they opened their latest great place to stay.
Shot by myself and edited by Generator Hostels.

…. Happy New Year!
Ok, so this isn’t the first post of the year but it the first post of NYE related photos. Here’s a couple of my favourite pics from the 2012 new years eve parade in Newcastle, and one of the fireworks, because who doesn’t like fireworks?

The UKs biggest open water swim at took place at the end of June in the chilly waters of Lake Windermere. Although problems due to the terrible weather forced the cancellation of the first 2 days of racing for safety reasons, the mood on the final day was still certainly better than the weather.
Here’s a handful of the shots of the brave competitors taken from both land and from speedboat.

I should really have posted this earlier, but I’ll hold up my hands and admit I’m not the best at keeping my blogs up to date.
Over 2 days, at 11 Locations, with 7 models, 2 clients, 1 stylist and my assistant we produced a whole new batch of photography for marketing Newcastle Gateshead to the rest of the UK as a great place to come and shop, eat, drink or just soak up the sights.
Here’s a little taster of what we did.

Saturday 13th March saw a line a burning torches stretching the width of the country along the route of Hadrian’a wall. I was commissioned by Newcastle Gateshead Initiative to capture this unique event along the Newcastle Quayside.
As a part of ‘SHINE 2010: Urban Garden festival’ Sunderland’s Winter Gardens was open after dark for a week of dazzling light and sound shows for visitors to experience.
Here’s a few of the pictures I took for the guys who installed the lighting, smoke machines, etc.
Many of you who live in the North East will probably recognise the set of shots that I took for Newcastle Gateshead Initiative for their ‘Outdoor and Active’ campaign encouraging people to go and do just that.
